Jack's Two Week Pediatric Appointment

Weight: 7 lbs., 13 oz.
Length: 21"
Head Circumference: 14"

We went in today for Jack's two-week pediatric appointment. All is well. The doctor was really impressed with his weight gain. Normally they hope that kiddo's will return to their birth weight by two weeks, and Jack has surpassed this goal by eight whole ounces!

It's Back to the Hospital We Go

Because of the vacuum delivery Jack has a bit of jaundice. At the hospital the level was 11.9. The first biliruban test the next morning was 13 level. The second bili test was 18. At 20 we get set for a re-stay for 24 hours at the hospital under tanning lights. We are going to try to feed the jaundice out of him!

Here he is in all his glory! After dilating quickly from 7 to ten, the doctor arrived at 5am to deliver little Jack. By 5:55am we had a healthy baby boy! Isn't he adorable? I think we'll keep him.
