37 Weeks = Full Term
Had my 37-week appointment today. BP was elevated, no new story. :) 134/88. Kiddo's heartbeat was 142-150. I'm counting down the days...
Tag(gie)! You're It!
Check out the adorable little taggie I made last night. I was bored so I headed out to Joanne's Fabric/Michael's. Now the kiddo will be in style to watch the Braves games with Dad and Uncle Vince!

Curtain Call for the Kiddo's Room
I finally finished the curtains for the kiddo's room! Never again will I buy an overly patterned fabric! It's a good thing that I am Type-A and my attention to detail is amazing. My mom and I ended up having to cut the fabric to the pattern, because the pattern wasn't even printed on the fabric at a straight angle! It took us 3 full days of planning, cutting, sewing, and ironing to get these curtains up! But... they are perfect and I am happy. I can finally have that kid now...

36 Weeks Pregnant = 9 Months, People!
Had my 36-week appointment today. BP was 132/80, narrowly escaping another week of additional meds. Baby's heart rate was in the mid 140's, so still on track. Dr. also told me that the kiddo is head down and engaged, so we are nearing the end. I'll be full term next week, and we talked about the 10th as an induction date! Can't believe everything is coming together in the end. Now I just need the kid :)

Elements of Physics: Pressure, Gravity, and Weight
Today I had my 35-week appointment, and it went much better than last weeks appointment! After my "hypersensitivity" to the blood pressure medication, the doctor opted to take me off of it, and reassess at today's appointment. Well, my blood pressure today had dropped into a "normal-for-me" level (138/82) so I am saved for another week!!! Hooray, no new meds! The baby's heart rate was between 138-144, so also a normal level. I've been having 3-4 contractions per day, and the doctor told me to start standing up during the contractions to have gravity help in opening my cervix to prepare for birth... so things are definitely moving forward progressively. He also informed me that the baby is just shy of 7 pounds today (around 6 pounds, 12 ounces).

The time has come... to talk of many things
Well, yesterday was full of news. My BP was sky high at 142/102, "so the time has come", the walrus said, "to talk of many things"... like blood pressure medicine, modified bed rest, and induction at or before 39 weeks. I was also told that if I started labor on my own any time after today that he wouldn't stop it.
We are now at 1 week appointments to continually monitor my blood pressure, swelling, and overall "pre-pre-eclamptic" state. If I continue to show any signs of toxemia, I'll be induced. From here on out, it can happen at any time. Guess I should start on those curtains...
