Little Tot's Wild Things Baby Shower

Had the most amazing shower today! 28 terrific people could join me in celebrating this little guy coming in August! Thanks to everyone who could attend! Take a look at the cake my very talented mom made. It tasted as great as it looked.

32 Week Dr.'s Appt: Growing a Watermelon OR Pressure: Pushing Down on Me!

Well, after 32 weeks of non-medicated bliss I succumbed to the first prescription: Pepcid (famitodine). My heartburn has been so unbearable at night. I wake up 2-3 times and take Tums. It's a wonder Jason can stay asleep while I turn the bottle upside down and make so much noise!
Had my BP taken, and originally it was 147/85 (which is high) and the doctor threatened to put me on new BP medication. Two meds in one visit???? NO! He re-took my BP with another cuff, and announced that I squeaked by this week with 140/82. We'll re-evaluate in another 2 weeks, but it looks like I'll be adding another medication to my repertoire.
Finally, during the measurement phase I asked how much the baby weighs right now. Scary answer??? 5 pounds!!! 5 pounds at 32 weeks. Lord, I still have 8 more weeks to go! Am I going to give birth to an anvil?
